As a non-native to this area, I can only relate to events and activities in the 14 years that I have lived here. I brought with me a hobby of almost 40 years with technology that has advanced almost every month in photography. It gives challenges in many forms and visiual results are very rewarding. The major interest for me has been sports and photojournalism-on a small scale. Small papers, young people playing sports and general photography.
Luckily for me, photography gives reason to get up and go.
The benefit of this site gives me a chance to share the results to those that may have any interest.
The current sports season is in the preparation stage with around 45 to 50 students from all schools participating in a "Speed camp." For the past five weeks they have come to the practice field, some still yawning, to go through one hour of drills and excercises to strengthen their legs and develop better agility. They are half finished.

Three trainers advise, correct, and motivate each drill to get them to their best performance. Head Football Coach Walters adds an occasional bit of advice. He, too, has given up the school vacation to get all the athletes that attend ready for September. It promises to be an interesting season.
